1. Pre-Inspection Preparation & Sampling Rules

First, prepare inspection tools, including vernier calipers, tape measures, weight gauges, rotation test benches, roughness detectors, and defect comparison charts. Dimensional accuracy determines the compatibility and installation effect of caster wheels. Unqualified sizes will lead to installation failure or unstable operation. Use professional measuring tools for precise data detection.
Key inspection dimensions include wheel diameter, wheel width, bracket height, mounting plate length and width, bolt hole spacing, and shaft diameter. Each data must comply with the drawing specifications and tolerance range. For example, the common tolerance of caster diameter is ±0.5mm, and the mounting hole spacing tolerance is ±1mm.

In mass caster inspection, batch consistency evaluation is indispensable. All products in the same batch must maintain consistency in appearance, size, material, and performance. Obvious differences in color, thickness, and flexibility are judged as unqualified batch products.
Classify detected defects strictly: critical defects (safety hazards such as crack fracture, brake failure, and load-bearing collapse), major defects (size out of tolerance, serious surface defects, and unqualified material), and minor defects (slight color difference and tiny scratches that do not affect use).
Count the number of defective products according to AQL standards. If the defective rate exceeds the qualified range, the whole batch will be re-inspected or rejected.
7. Packaging & Shipment Inspection
Unqualified packaging will cause secondary damage to casters during transportation. The final packaging inspection ensures intact product delivery.
Check whether the caster surface is protected by foam, plastic film, or carton padding to avoid friction and collision damage. Verify that the packaging quantity is accurate, the outer box marking (product model, quantity, batch number, manufacturer) is complete and clear. In addition, check the firmness of the carton sealing and strapping to prevent package rupture during long-distance transportation.
